ACCE Educational Webinar Series: Clinical Engineering Leadership, Monthly

The American College of Clinical Engineering (ACCE) is the professional body for clinical engineering leaders, and its Educational Webinar series is pitched squarely at the management level rather than the bench. Topics run toward the decisions a director actually owns: capital planning, program design, compliance, and emerging technology.

It runs as a structured season of monthly sessions, with topics selected by ACCE’s Education Committee.

Why it matters for HTM

This is one of the few recurring webinar series built specifically for clinical engineering leadership. The 2025-26 lineup has covered patient-monitoring system integration, networking and cybersecurity certifications, capital equipment planning and total cost of ownership, CMMS workflow optimization, KPI selection, AI and decision-support tools, and Joint Commission compliance updates.

That topic list reads like a director’s annual agenda. Capital planning with TCO, KPI selection, and TJC compliance are core management problems, and getting a structured monthly session on each one (often presented by people who have done it inside a health system) is more useful than ad hoc reading.

Who should tune in

HTM and clinical engineering directors, managers, and anyone on a leadership track. The framing assumes you are making program-level and purchasing decisions, not turning a wrench.

Format and cost

Sessions run monthly on the second Thursday, 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Eastern. They are free for ACCE members (underwritten by corporate sponsors) and $150 per session for non-members. Because the series is sponsor-supported, expect occasional sponsor presence, though the content is oriented toward education rather than product demos.

Logistics

  • Format: Live monthly webinar series
  • Host: American College of Clinical Engineering (ACCE)
  • Cadence / next session: Second Thursdays, 12:00-1:00 p.m. ET; see host page
  • Cost: Free for ACCE members; $150 per session for non-members
  • Register: accenet.org

Bottom line

If you lead a clinical engineering or HTM department, this is one of the most directly relevant recurring series available, and ACCE membership makes it free. The leadership-level topic selection (capital planning, KPIs, compliance) is exactly what a director needs and harder to find elsewhere. Easily worth an hour a month.
