HTMwire Is Live: An Independent Resource for Healthcare Technology Management
HTMwire is an independent resource hub for healthcare technology management professionals. The vendor directory, editorial guides, and comparison content are live today.
Why we built this
Search for CMMS comparisons or medical device cybersecurity solutions and you get vendor blogs. Each one ranks itself first. The buying advice is marketing copy in disguise.
Trade publications like 24x7 Magazine and TechNation do solid reporting. They cover regulations, conferences, and industry trends well. But their digital presence has not kept pace with how HTM directors research purchasing decisions today. When a clinical engineering manager needs to evaluate asset tracking platforms at 9 PM before a budget meeting, the search results are thin.
No independent editorial voice has filled that gap. HTMwire exists to fill it.
What’s in the directory
The vendor directory launches with 55 companies across seven categories:
- CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
- Cybersecurity (medical device security and network monitoring)
- Asset tracking (RTLS, inventory management, utilization analytics)
- Parts and supply chain (OEM/ISO parts sourcing, logistics)
- Test equipment (biomedical test instruments, calibration)
- Compliance (regulatory tracking, audit preparation, documentation)
- Workforce and training (certification, staffing, continuing education)
Each listing includes verified contact information, product capabilities sourced from documentation, and links to the company’s own materials. No vendor paid for inclusion. No vendor was excluded for declining to participate.
How we evaluate
Every claim on this site cites a source. Vendor capabilities reference product documentation, regulatory filings, or direct verification. We do not republish marketing language as fact.
Our full methodology is documented on the How We Evaluate page. The short version:
- No pay-for-play. Inclusion is based on market relevance, not sponsorship.
- Source attribution. Tier 1 sources (AAMI, TJC, FDA, CMS, ECRI) carry the most weight. Vendor claims get verified against published documentation.
- Transparent updates. Each vendor listing carries a
last_verifieddate so you know how current the information is. - Corrections welcome. If we got something wrong, tell us. We fix errors and credit the correction.
What’s coming next
The directory is the foundation. Here is what we are building on top of it:
- More vendors. We are actively researching companies across all seven categories. If your company belongs in the directory, reach out.
- CMMS comparison guide. An in-depth evaluation of 18 platforms against real HTM workflows: PM scheduling, TJC audit readiness, mobile access, and total cost of ownership. This is in development now.
- Regulatory analysis. Plain-language breakdowns of FDA guidance, TJC requirements, and CMS conditions of participation as they affect HTM operations.
- Salary and staffing benchmarks. Sourced compensation data for clinical engineering and biomed roles, broken down by region and experience level.
Built for decision-makers
HTMwire is built for the people who sign purchase orders, defend budgets, and answer to surveyors. HTM directors, VPs of clinical engineering, biomed managers, and hospital CIOs evaluating device security.
Every piece of content is framed around the question: does this help someone make a better operational or purchasing decision?
If the answer is no, we do not publish it.
Get involved

- Read the editorial guides for sourced analysis on HTM topics.
- Send corrections, suggestions, or tips to [email protected].
This is the beginning. The HTM field deserves an independent resource that works as hard as the people in it. We intend to be that resource.
